Who We Are
The Wine Gazette is published with the intent of bringing you news about the world of wines, especially wines that can be found in Texas. Our goal is to bring you tasting notes and news on the wide range of exciting wines across all prices, from good value everyday wines to the rare and collectible. We have published The Wine Gazette for 12 years, our first issue having been released May 1994.
Writer & Editor
The writer and editor of Wine Gazette is Fernando de Luna. A native Texan, Fernando has a wide range of tasting experience in the wine world. He was a wine retailer and buyer for 11 years in Austin, Texas, at a range of wine stores from the city’s largest retail wine chain to a single fine wine store to a large speciality grocery store. In 1989 he made the switch to the wholesale part of the wine trade, as a fine wine specialist for the largest wine wholesaler at the time. Since 1994 he has been the education director for Block Distributing Co. LTD. He is a tasting judge at the Dallas Morning News Wine Competition, the largest wine competition in the nation. He is also a member of the Society of Wine Educators. |
